IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research of Peking University, and the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences of Hebrew University, jointly organized a workshop on "Brain Research at the Molecular and Cellular Level" on March 27, 2014, at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies in Jerusalem. Nine PIs from both institutes presented their recent studies covering wide research topics, including neural mechanisms of episodic memory, animal models for neurodegenerative diseases, neural and genetic mechanisms of racial in-group bias in empathy, neural substrates of itching etc. Drs. Chenjian Li, Shihui Han, Yuji Naya from PKU-IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research gave presentations during the symposium. Presentations and discussions brought opportunities for future cooperation between the two brain research centers.
