Over a hundred undergraduates from more than 40 universities all overthe country chose to throw themselves to an intense feast, the 2013 Neural & Cognitive Summer Course, hosted by the IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research at PKU and the Peking-Tsinghua Center for Life Sciences. During the 7-day training program, they have taken classes, visited labs, presented research papers, and interacted with faculty members and students. Some stayed in the labs after the course, to experience real science for the rest of the summer. The camp kindles interests of future neural and cognitive scientists, and provides an interface with the society.
