Research Interests:
My research interests focus on the neural circuit changes underlying the diseased brain, especially autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). In previous work, using in vivo two-photon Ca(2+) imaging techniques, we found deficits of neural circuit function in the primary visual cortex (V1) of ASD mice model and in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) of young AD mice. In the future, I plan to use the in vivo two-photon Ca(2+) imaging technology to study the spatial temporal properties of neural circuits in awake animals with neuropsychiatric diseases, and to explore the neural circuit mechanisms of these diseases.
