Applications are invited for Principal Investigator (PI) positions at IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research at PKU. Positions are open at all ranks from Assistant, Associate to Full Investigatorship.

The Institute was established in 2012 with supportfrom Peking University, IDG and Patrick J. McGovern and Lore Harp McGovern, who are committed to improving human welfare, communication and understanding through their support for neuroscience research.

The Institute consists of neural and cognitive scientists who are focused on understanding fundamental processes underlying brain function anduncovering mechanisms of brain disorders. We emphasize interdisciplinary interactions and approaches, with faculty members from biology, cognitive sciences, psychology to psychiatry, and technologies from traditional psychophysics, genetics, molecular biology to modern imaging and manipulation of molecules and neurons, visualization of functioning human brains, and genomics analysis of diseases and cognitive traits. Faculty members have joint appointments in a home department on the main or the medical campus and our affiliated hospitals.

We look for the best researchers in neural and cognitive sciences to join us. Please send your application materials (a cover letter, a CV, a brief summary of past research accomplishments, and a brief description of your future research plan) in a single PDF file to (mcgovern@pku.edu.cn)).You should also arrange at least three reference letters to be sent. Successful candidates will be invited to come to the Institute for an on-site interview. Your position will be considered by our institute together with a home department at PKU.
