The second “Summer course on Neural and Cognitive Sciences”, which was hosted by IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research at Peking University and Center of Life Sciences (CLS), was successfully held at Beijing on July 13 - 19, 2014. Carrying on the essence of the fist summer course, The spirit of the second was showing the wonderful charm of the neural and cognitive science to the students, inspiring them to explore science, and improving their research ability and creative thinking.
About one hundred undergraduates from more than 40 universities all over the country took part in the seven-day course, including classes, lab visits, lunch conversations with tutors, presentations by teams, and also buffets and a happy closing party.
During this summer course, faculties from McGovern Institute and CLS have taken turns to present different views of neural and cognitive sciences of their specialty to the students.
