Language Processing, Social Cognition, Social Emotion and Social Decision Making, Attentional Selection and Cognitive Control
Prof. Xiaolin Zhou has three lines of research interests. The first one is on social cognition, social emotion and social neuroscience, particularly issues related to fairness consideration and social decision making. The second line of research is on language processing, including neuropragmatics. The third line of research is on attentional selection and cognitive control, particularly issues related to cross-modal integration and the impacts of reward and social information. Currently Prof. Zhou is trying to combine behavioral and cognitive neuroscience methods, including functional brain imaging and neuropharmacology, to investigate the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying language processing, cognitive control, and economic and social decision making.
